Trade Show Display Booths

April 26th, 2008 by donnyvanderveen

By Kevin Stith In a trade show booth, besides your sample products, your display may include hanging signs, sales-literature racks, tabletop or floor-standing displays, customized panel walls, pop-ups, and even floor graphics. These products need to be eye-catching and able to deliver a memorable message. When you are selecting the displays for your trade show booth, you must not forget the fact that that there are at least a hundred other advertisers at the same trade show vying for the attention of the consumer, and you have a small window to make an impression on the persons mind. There are many options in trade show displays available in the market today. Some of these characteristics can be considered when shopping for a trade display. An ideal trade display should be set up in seconds. Also, it should have a handle for easy lifting and should be able to fold down for transporting. A smartly made trade show booth can be creative and yet ship economically in a container suitable for FedEx or UPS weight. Most trade show participants will probably not want to go back to the drawing board before every show, so the ideal trade show booth should be durable for show after show. The graphics and text on the display that you select must be able to communicate directly about your products and services. If you are not sure of what to put there, you can always opt for professional help. It is sensible to get the display design in your booth done through professional agencies rather than an in-house team. This may be a bit more expensive, but if you get a re-usable variety, the costs are going to be well justified in the long run. In today’s competitive tradeshow environment, full-size, full-color, custom tradeshow exhibit panels are the best way to ensure your company gets noticed. Many companies today specialize in eye-catching, full-graphics trade show displays, because they know that custom graphics get you noticed and help you succeed. Diet Pills - The Answer or Not?

April 24th, 2008 by donnyvanderveen

By Christopher Luck So if diet pills work and I am overweight, why shouldnt I use them to get myself back to where I want to be? The truth is that we live in an obese society. With that being the case, then it stands to reason that the business of losing weight is big. We are all busy, so we want the easy way out, the quick fix, and to lose those extra pounds without having to disrupt our busy lives. Diet pills seem to be an easy answer, so why not give them a try? Well there are actually two big reasons: harmful side effects and addiction (physical and emotional). The biggest reason that the dangers on diet pills exist is that they are not really regulated. The law does not require a diet pill to be tested by the FDA before release to the public. The FDA will pull a diet pill product from the shelves if it shows to be dangerous, but by then you may already be taking that particular drug. So what are the side effects that can result from this lack of regulation? Diet pills generally do one or two of a few things: they may suppress appetite, increase metabolism, block fat absorption, or even make use of laxatives to flush the body of waste and fluid. The chemicals in the diet pills that helps them accomplish these things have been known to cause varying side effects. Some of the best known of these are anxiety, insomnia, heart palpitations or attacks, stroke, fever, dry mouth, blurred vision, hair loss, disturbance in sex drive and menstruation, urinary tract problems, digestive problems, and even congestive heart failure. There are numerous others as well, so the risks can be high when it comes to side effects with diet pills. The other danger with diet pills is addiction. The chemicals and drugs used in the pills can very often cause physical addiction. On the other hand, if they pills do work, even to a small degree, emotional addiction can follow. You may think that you cannot keep your weight or even live without the pills and can find yourself in the midst of complete dependency. When there are side effect problems in conjunction with dependency, there are overdose risks as well. In the rush to lose as much weight as possible as quickly as possible, you might be tempted to take more diet pills than is recommended. The result can be convulsions, hallucinations, breathing difficult, or even a heart attack. It is important that if you feel or have any of these symptoms that you get medical attention promptly. The risk of using diet pills is varied and high. Without regulation and with the high availability, those seeking an easy fix to a large problem may end up jumping from pill to pill, ending up addicted, or suffering terrible side effects. What many dont realize is that the only proven way of keeping weight off for a sustained amount of time is through a balanced diet and exercise. Can You Compete?

April 22nd, 2008 by donnyvanderveen

By Dave Ricker Are you looking to hire the best talent? Are you thinking about adding a new employee who will significantly impact millions of dollars in YOUR business? Do you want to hire the best? Then you need to show and convince your next hire that you are serious about him joining your team. In March, we received the following candidates response to two high level interviews. The candidate would potentially earn over $100,000 in base salary. As a regional salesperson, the candidate would potentially add millions in new revenue per year to the company. We edited his response. Needless to say, the first company did not convince this very capable salesperson that they wanted him, the second one did. Dave, the PROCESS speaks volumes about the company. Here I was being recruited by a well known company. The position was perfect, the location acceptable but after my first visit, I decided to fire them. They seemed shocked! The no-name hotel was a dump and not billed directly to the company. I had to needlessly change planes, arrange transportation to the interview and the receptionist had no clue who I was or why I would have an appointment with C-level executives (Im sure they would have said something to me. I dont see your name on the list of appointments today.). The senior team was sharp but not coordinated and I left very disappointed in what I felt was a complete waste of my time. (On another interview) The quality of the accommodations is not as important as the thought that went into planning. I was made to feel like a king when the company made my reservations. When the car dropped me off, the general manager was there expecting me. He explained the hotel was very convenient to the plant (the hotel was old and dated but very clean). He arranged for me to have a suite. He offered a catered dinner of my choice (not simply a take-out from Dennys next door) and cocktail service if I chose to relax. It was late and I was tired so I declined but the experience was tremendous. To top it off, they flew me coach on the way in and first class on the trip back home. All things being equal, the candidate will go with the company that shows the most respect. Even as a recruiter, I couldnt have said it better! These are his comments and he is now the top producer (also wage earner) in a highly competitive industry. A Destination Wedding in Bali Part 2 - Legal Requirements

April 20th, 2008 by donnyvanderveen

By Colin Hall A lot of people think it is too difficult to have a legal wedding in Bali and so just have a religious blessing or a renewal of vows ceremony, but it is possible to be married legally in Bali. All couples who marry in Indonesia must declare a religion. Atheism and Agnosticism are not recognised and the Civil Registry office can record marriages of couples of Islam, Buddhist, Hindu, Christian-Catholic and Christian-Protestant faiths. Marriage partners must have the same religion, otherwise one partner must make a written declaration of a change of religion. A Christian, Buddhist or Hindu wedding is usually performed in a church or temple ceremony first. After the religious ceremony, every non-Islamic marriage must be recorded with the Civil Registry. Without the registration of the Civil Registry these marriages are not legal. Recording by Civil Registry officials can be performed directly at the religious ceremony for an additional fee. Couples will also need to provide to the Civil Registry a Notice of Intention to Marry and also a Letter of No Impediment which is obtained from the consular representatives. To obtain these documents there are different requirements for each nationality and personal situation (divorced, widowed, etc) of the couple. Two witnesses over the age of 18 are required. They cannot be family members of the bride and groom and they must show the originals and present photocopies of their passports. Civil Registry employees can also act as witnesses. Marriage certificates are issued immediately and a sworn translation of the certificate should be obtained for use in the couples home country. The legal requirements and the process can be daunting to a foreigner trying to manage their wedding from a distance and therefore it is recommended that the couple find a competent wedding planner or consultant who will take care of all the paperwork for them. The wedding planner can also help with all aspects of the wedding arrangements making it easy and stress free to have a romantic wedding in Bali. To Dig or Not To Dig

April 19th, 2008 by donnyvanderveen

By Erin Taylor Adding water into a garden needs to be planned carefully before any work is started. Friends of mine, Julie and Brian, newly wed, had moved into a new home and were just starting to landscape their garden. A neighbour also starting to landscape, had hired the services of a Bobcat, and Brian asked the driver if he had the time to dig a hole for him in his back yard. Although Brian had no plan, the driver obliged, and proceeded to dig a very large and deep hole, ready for Brians (spur of the moment idea) pond. The back yard was filled with the huge piles of soil that had been removed, but Brian was happy. The hole had been dug, and all he had to do was add a liner, some rocks, and a lovely little waterfall. Ummm It was raining the night Julie called and invited me to stay with them the following weekend, and it was raining again during the long drive to their home. As I drove toward their house, I noticed the neat lawn and new garden beds in the front garden, and congratulated them both on a job well done. I was then taken to see the pond area. Shock was quickly followed by concern. I turned to Julie, and saw that she was close to tears, so I said nothing. The hole in the ground was surrounded by mesh and rope, and the rest of the yard was a lake of mud, caused by the soil washing down from the loosely packed piles. The hastily added stepping stones leading to the shed were covered in a thick layer of mud, and it was only the beginning of Autumn. But, the bigger shock was the size of the hole. It seemed to fill the entire backyard, and the edge of it was so close to the back door it gave the un-nerving feeling that you were about to fall in. Over lunch they told me the rest of the story. Following the hurried digging of the hole Brian had measured up the entire area eager to start pricing up everything he needed to finish his water feature. As far as I can tell, he didnt get far past the liner and rocks before realizing how much this feature was going to cost. Everything was put on hold. I was asked for advice, and that afternoon I borrowed some rubber boots, and trudged ankle deep in mud around their backyard, trying to assess the situation. During that weekend I prepared two totally different landscape designs for my friends. Both included a smaller water feature, and recommended that most of the huge hole be filled in. Julie liked the designs, but Brian refused to even consider filling in the hole. I left the designs with him, as well as a list of cost estimates for him to complete the existing hole into a water feature, and some of the problems he needed to be aware of. Eight months later the hole in the ground is still just a hole in the ground. Brian however, is now considering filling it in, and using one of the designs to create a low maintenance garden. Both Julie and Brian gave me permission to write this, Julie especially, as she hopes that in telling, she may prevent other wives from; 1. Having to put on rubber boots and paddle around in mud every time they have to hang out the washing. And 2. Having to bath the dog each time he sneaks out the door and enjoys a romp in the backyard. And 3. The continual frustration of having to mop floors every time some one is brave enough to venture into their mud pit. Installing a SMALL pool is probably the easiest solution for new gardeners, wanting to introduce water into the landscape. Large, overwhelming features will cause a small backyard to appear even smaller. Your pool can either be formal or informal in design depending upon the style of the garden, and although the actual construction is quite straightforward, you will need some understanding of water flow, laying underground piping and electrical cables. For first time pool builders, consultation with a water garden professional could help you avoid costly mistakes, as well as giving you access to new and cost saving techniques and materials. Many of the most successful gardens incorporate a pool, fountain, stream, or waterfall. The sound of moving water adds extra dimension to the garden and provides the perfect backdrop for many species of plants that thrive near water. Even a small pool will create visual interest, and can be used for keeping fish or growing aquatic plants. All the best, and happy gardening, Erin TaylorLandscape Designer/Nursery Ownerwww.antspants.biz Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Erin_Taylor http://EzineArticles.com/?To-Dig-or-Not-To-Dig&id=336011 where can you buy phentermine phentermine online dr phentermine diet pills com overnight pharmacy phentermine

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #15

April 11th, 2008 by donnyvanderveen

By Tami Close The simple aspect of breathing is the most incredible experience. Each day we get to breathe and be grateful that we are alive. Take a moment and take a deep breath and thank God for your extraordinary life. He has great plans for you. You know this, dont you? The opportunity is just waiting for you. Thats why its important for us to get on with our lives, our purpose, and to live each day fully expressing our love for ourselves. Your weight loss goals are right here and so is your purposeto feel alive with the riches that God has given us. I want to share with you why life is so meaningful to me. My daughter, Lindsay, just celebrated her 21st birthday and came home from college to mark this occasion with family and friends. As we all know the 21st birthday has significance attached to it as its our entrance into full adulthood and all that it brings to us. My ex-husband, my daughters friend from junior high and I took Lindsay out to dinner. We laughed and shared stories of their teenage years. During the course of the conversation, we remembered the traumatic events which surrounded Lindsays birth. My ex-husband then retold the story of how she came into this world. These experiences Im going to share with you are condensed. You can get the full view in my new e-book, Close Kept Secrets to Overcoming Illness, which will be on my website soon. I was six months pregnant on March 4, 1984 and awoke that morning with intense pain in my leg. I called my doctor and he thought it might be a blood clot, but wasnt too concerned so I got in the shower as I didnt want to go to the hospital with unshaven legs. Interesting where my focus was? While I was in the shower, I began to feel faint and quickly lied down on the bed. After this episode, we decided we better leave immediately. Upon arriving at the ER I began to feel faint again. I told the nurses and they instantly wheeled me into the trauma room. I could hear them working on me, but all of the voices felt as if they were light years away. They shouted, Were losing her and the babys heart rate is dropping. I cant describe the peace I felt and I only wanted to go to sleep. I felt no pain as I was slowly leaving this world, but God had other plans for Lindsay and me. Once they administered a blood thinner, I woke up and didnt quite know what had just happened. Unbeknownst to me, the doctors had told my husband at the time that we could both die and to be prepared. What followed was a long sequence of events, but I was able to carry Lindsay another month. She was born on April 6, 1984 after almost four days of labor. Yes, four days!! She was born two months early weighing a strapping 3 lbs. 11 oz and was 18 inches long. What a gift from God. I tell this story to illustrate that God has plans for you and me. I believed in God, but wasnt fully connected to him 21 years ago as I was deep in my own struggles with worry and fear and continued that way for several years. It was through another painful time nine years ago when I was very ill that I began to know Him on such a deeper, profound level. Releasing my childhood stuff was the catalyst for the change in which I saw the world. Through this experience I realized He had a dream for me. It took some time for me to appreciate what living in faith meant, but now I am immersing myself in it as I help others with their weight loss goals and adoption of healthy lifestyles. This is the dream He has for me. Thank you God!! Dreams come a size too big so that we can grow into them– Josie Bisset What is Gods dream He has for you? When are you going to start living it? Healthy Grocery Shopping

April 7th, 2008 by donnyvanderveen

By Gary Gresham Healthy grocery shopping is a critical part of eating healthy to lose weight. Choosing healthy foods to eat instead of high fat foods can benefit you in so more ways than just losing weight. Eating healthy can affect the way you look and feel every minute of every day. When you shop for healthy foods to eat, there are a few basic things that can make it a little easier. Here are a few healthy grocery shopping tips. 1. Never go grocery shopping on an empty stomach. It’s obvious that all food looks better when you are hungry. But you can make better choices if you don’t shop when you are hungry. Another benefit to this is you will spend less. 2. Select canned fruits and tuna that are packed in water, not oil or syrup. Anything packed in water including fruit in its own juice is a much healthier choice. 3. Look at the labels for the words “hydrogenated” or “partially hydrogenated”. The earlier you see them appear on the label list, the higher the amount of unhealthy trans fatty acids the food will contain. 4. Don’t buy turkey or chicken with the skin on it. If you are eating healthy to lose weight, breast or white meat is a much healthier food to eat. The skin is really all fat and not very healthy food to eat. 5. When you select frozen dinners, select those that are not only low in fat, but low in sodium and cholesterol as well. Salt makes you retain water and can increase your blood pressure. 6. If you aren’t consuming enough dairy products or they don’t agree with you, buy calcium fortified orange juice instead. Getting enough calcium is an important part of eating healthy. 7. Buy whole grain breads, cereals, and rolls. Healthy breads are whole wheat, pumpernickel or seven-grain. Healthy cereal choices are All-Bran, Bran Buds, 100% Bran and Raisin Bran. 8. You may want to give cantaloupe a try. With just 95 calories, half of the melon will provide more than a day’s supply of Vitamin C and cancer-fighting beta carotene. 9. Don’t be tricked into buying yogurt covered by nuts or raisins, on top because they are normally loaded with sugar and partially hydrogenated oils. If you are eating healthy to lose weight, this could make the difference of you losing weight for the week or not. 10. Buy low fat snacks and treats, such as pretzels, ginger snaps, and angel food cake. Make sure you can grab these low fat snacks when you get the need to munch on something. There are many different healthy foods you can buy at the grocery store, and all it takes is making the right choices to put in your cart. Healthy grocery shopping can quickly be learned and become a way of life with you. The reward is huge because taking weight off becomes easy. The Pros And Cons Of Secured Loans

April 6th, 2008 by donnyvanderveen

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Carry]John Carry Every worldly-wise person tries to make it sure that he mobilises his resources in the best possible manner. Many people take secured loans against the equity available in their home to meet a pressing financial need. Now is this way of mobilising ones home equity is a prudent step! This article sheds light on this aspect by discussing the pros and cons of secured loans. In secured loans the lender has the guarantee of getting the loaned amount back even if the borrower fails in his repayment. The lender can take possession of the home offered by the borrower as collateral and use it to retrieve his money. This fact eliminates the risk of the lender and he remains ready to offer the loan with flexible terms. In this way [http://www.shakespearefinance.co.uk/secured-loans.html target=_blank]secured loans come with low interest rate, small repayment instalments and long repayment period. The borrower is also allowed to takeout a huge amount of cash. Missed payments are also not taken seriously. This minimises the cost of the loan and make it easy for the borrower to pay off the loan. However, secured loans have their share of seamy side. Though secured loans are not risky for the lenders, they are risk free for the borrowers. In case any emergency occurs and he fails in repaying the loan then he will have to lose the possession of his home. The idea of parting with ones home is not expected by anybody. But the beckoning of lucrative benefits of secured loans is also very hard to resist. In this connection it is recommendable to dedicate a little time to search out a secured loan package that comes with highly flexible terms. It will be helpful in repaying the loan without any difficulty and save the home from repossession The author is a business writer specializing in finance and credit products and has written authoritative articles on the finance industry.
